Ready-to-Spray Paint (Pre-Mixed):

• We'll mix it for you with medium reducer (unless you pick fast or slow).

• Think about your painting conditions: Use "slow" for hot/dry days, "fast" for cool/humid ones, or "medium" for in-between.

• Ready-to-spray means it's all set, no extra reducer needed! Just shake and use.

About Color Matching:

• We mix to the exact OEM (factory) paint code you choose.

• Heads up: The same code can look a tiny bit different due to things like lighting or car model variations.

• We can't guarantee a 100% perfect match, and there's no warranty on the paint or color, painting always has some variables!

Special 3-Stage or Tri-Coat Colors:

• These fancy multi-layer paints (like those with extra sparkle) come in two separate cans: one for the base color and one for the pearl/mid-coat layer.

• Don't mix them together, you need to spray the base first, then the pearl layer on top for the full effect.

• That's why tri-coats cost more: You get both parts ready to go. Layering is key to getting the look right!

Technical Instructions: Step-by-Step Guide

Here's a simple guide to using your Platinum Base paint safely and effectively. These are standard tips for urethane basecoats like this one, always test on a scrap piece first!

Preparation (Before You Start):

• Work in a clean, dust-free area with good ventilation (like a garage with fans).

• Clean the surface: Wash with soap and water, then wipe with a wax/grease remover.

• Sand the area: Use 400-600 grit sandpaper for a smooth base, then clean again.

• Prime if needed: Apply a urethane primer first and let it dry fully.

Mixing (For Ready to Spray Paint):

• Stir well: Use a clean stick or mixer until fully blended, no lumps!

• Let it sit: 10-15 minutes for bubbles to pop, then strain through a paint filter.

Spraying (Application):

• Gun setup: Use an HVLP spray gun with a 1.2-1.4 mm tip. Set pressure to 20-35 PSI (or check your gun's manual).

• Coats: Spray 2-3 medium-wet coats with 50% overlap. Wait 5-10 minutes between coats.

• Distance: Hold gun 6-8 inches from the surface, move steadily at 12-18 inches per second.

• Temp: Best at 60-80°F (16-27°C) and 40-60% humidity. Avoid direct sun or wind.

• For metallics/pearls: Spray even coats to avoid "tiger stripes"  practice on cardboard.

• After last coat: Wait 20-30 minutes, then apply clear coat within 24 hours. If waiting longer, sand lightly and clean.

Drying and Curing:

• Touch-dry: 20-30 minutes.

• Ready for clear coat: 20 minutes to 24 hours.

• Full cure: 7 days for best strength avoid washing or rubbing during this time.

Cleanup:

• Tools: Clean with urethane reducer, thinner, or acetone right away.

• Waste: Dispose of rags and leftovers per local rules (flammable!).

Safety First (Super Important for Beginners):

• Wear protection: Respirator mask (for vapors), safety glasses, gloves, and long sleeves/pants.

• No smoking: Keep away from flames this stuff is flammable!

• Ventilate: Use fans to blow fumes away from you.

• Skin contact: Wash immediately with soap and water if it gets on you.

• Read labels: Follow all warnings on the cans. If pregnant or sensitive to chemicals, get help from a pro.

• Emergency: If inhaled or swallowed, seek medical help fast.

This should give you pro results without the hassle. If your conditions are different, adjust reducer speed or gun pressure accordingly.
